3 cups flour 1 heaping Tb. salt 3 eggs milk or buttermilk In a lg. glass bowl add flour, beaten egg, and salt and enough milk or buttermilk ( buttermilk will make a fluffier dumpling ) to make a firm yet sticky ball of dough. drop by teaspoonfuls quickly into boiling water, boil 8-10 min. drain, serve over your favorite sauce. Helpful hint when making dumplings, wet the tsp. in the boiling water before you start and every time after you drop a spoonful into the water. |
