Flour 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 cup half and half 1 (20-oz.) pkg. frozen small onions, thawed and well drained 2 (9-oz.) pkgs. frozen French style green beans, thawed and well drained 12 slices cheddar cheese Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large saucepan melt butter, stir in mustard, flour, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring over low heat until bubbly; gradually stir in half and half. Stir in vegetables. In 8-inch square baking dish, place 1/3 vegetable mixture; top with 4 slices cheese. Repeat 2 times, ending with cheese and then nuts. Bake uncovered 35 minutes or until hot. Serves 8. |
