Old Fashion Corn Bread

1 cup Sifted flour
3 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1 cup Yellow cornmeal
1 cup Milk
2 Eggs, beaten
1/4 cup Honey , or maple syrup
1/4 cup Butter, melted

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the cornmeal and stir until well mixed. In another bowl combine the milk, eggs, honey or maple syrup, and the butter. Add the liquids to the dry ingredients and stir just until all are moistened. Pour the batter into an oiled 8 inch square baking pan and bake about 20 minutes or until done in the center and lightly browned.
